Product Review | Ponds Flawless Radiance

Happy Weekend Darlings.

I tried the Ponds, Flawless Radiance before but I never took it seriously because of two things. Firstly I just felt like washing, toning and moisturizing took too much time considering I have to do makeup again, sigh. Secondly, my cousin would always ask for one of the products every time she visited. BTW, she used to visit me on a daily basis when I lived alone and I love her too much to say no (no,I’m not weak, I just love her … That’s my excuse, as I still question myself if I am really not weak ha ha).

But oh well, I am grown up now. I know better and taking care of  my skin is one of my top priorities. So I decided to give it another try and and this time I have been committed to my skin care routine. I’ve had to wake up earlier than I normally do but it has  proved to be worth it.

Daily Routine:

On a daily basis I wake up, pray, pay a visit to the bathroom then I take care of my face.

I have been using the Ponds Flawless Radiance range for the past two months and I swear by it. I would recommend this to anyone who like myself is looking for an inexpensive product to combat dark patches and maintain radiant flawless skin.

The Even Tone Facial Foam Wash is first up. Like the name suggests it foams lmao and it has tiny granules for light exfoliation which is perfect for daily use. I apply the facial foam and spread it over my face using my little pore cleansing pad which I got from Avon about two years ago. It lasts that long become it’s silicon and I dip it in hot soapy water for about five minutes every week to make sure it is kept clean and gem free.

Once I have washed off the facial foam, I can feel the instant softness of my skin and then it is time for the Even Tone Toner. It leaves my face feeling and looking bright and lively. I apply this all over my face using a cotton pad, and avoiding contact with my eyes. You will also need to keep it away from your nose because it has a little bit of a scent that may disturb your nostrils.

The best thing for me with this toner is that you can feel it doing the job. You will feel a little stinging especially on days I steam and exfoliate but that’s how you know it’s working, wink.

Once I am done with the toner, I use both the Daily lotion and the Even Tone Serum – personal preference. And I am ready for my face beat. Lately, I haven’t been wearing makeup though because I have really been trying to make sure I take care of all the spots on my face before I can start wearing full on makeup again.

Night Routine:

At night I follow the same routine but this time instead of the daily lotion and / serum I apply the Night Cream to repair my skin over night. I also use a rougher exfoliating sponge with my foam wash every second or third night just to make sure I give myself a thorough clean and remove all that makeup. This normally leaves my chin and nose area a bit stingy after applying the toner but it is totally worth it. My selfies are proof of this.

My Experience:

So, we all know these beauty things do not happen over night right … sucks!

It took me two weeks before I could see a difference in my skin and now at eight weeks not all spots are gone but my skin is surely looking more toned, clean, soft with a natural glow 🙂 I am yet to  find something that works over night but for now, I am very impressed with the Ponds Flawless Radiance Range and if you have tried it before please let me know how it as worked for you. Would you recommend it to anyone?

Love and Light.

    1. The way these product work different on different people though. You know you are the 3rd person to tell me about gentle magic. I think I will get it and do a review as well.

  1. I really liked this post xx thank you for sharing 🙂

I have very sensitive skin, but i am really lucky i have good clear skin at the moment, no spots or pimples 🙂 so my routine is very basic, i have been using liz earle products and that has been working great for me 🙂 i love the pore cleansing pad you talked about 🙂 You didn’t mention face steaming a lot, do you recommend it or no? because i steam my face regularly ?

    1. Hey Margret,
I steam my face too, two/three times a week. You should definitely steam. For me it works the most when I intend to wear a face mask because it really opens up the pores and makes it easy for the mask to do its job and on those specific days I can totally feel a difference in how my skin feels compared to the days I just exfoliate or mask without steaming.

    1. Hi Masilo,

There is need to have both however you can still get away with having just a day cream. Day creams are sheerer than night creams. They are designed to protect your skin hence the SPF and they can be worn under makeup so they have light, nongreasy formulas that are absorbed quickly and allow pores to breathe. Night creams are for replenishing your skin during the night. They contain the most powerful, slow-absorbing moisturizers that are designed to penetrate over the course of several hours and that is why they are much richer, thicker and heavier than day creams. I hope this sheds some light.

  2. The Ponds Flawless Radiance range is a godsend.
I have been using it for a little over 2 years now. Before using it I struggled with acne, uneven skin tone and rough skin. Now my face is bright, even and supple,my acne has cleared and spots are non existent.
Ponds Flawless Radiance has absolutely changed my life.
    I keep my routine simple:
    Facial Foam
    Day cream/
    Night cream
When I have enough cash I buy the toner as well.
    Lovely Range.

    1. Hi Amanda,

It is actually a pretty awesome range hey.
Since this post, I have, however, switched to Neutrogena and it is also doing the job. I was just a bit impatient with ponds.
