Product Review | L’oreal Face Masks

Hi Darlings,

I am here with another review of products that have been life changing in the skin care world.

L’oreal recently came out with these three mud masks which make the perfect trio. It being a new product they had a special running in Clicks stores across the country. All three were retailing for R150 and you know this girl cannot resist a bargain! I got all three and I have been testing them and posting videos on Insta-stories. Every Sunday there are skin care routine videos on my Instagram so if you are not following me, you are missing you out 🙂 @mis_nessah

Each clay mask combines a powerful blend of three pure clays: Kaolin, Montmorillonite and Ghassoul which leave your skin smooth, fresh and radiant.

I tested this one first.

On application, the texture is thick which isn’t a bad thing because the last thing anyone needs is a mask running down their face. You can either use your fingers to apply a thin layer over your face or you can use a brush which is what I used for a clean and even application.

This mask stings quite a bit so if your skin cannot stand a little sting this is not for you. Or maybe it’s because I applied it after I had exfoliated hmmm.

The creamy texture works deep into the pores, and leaves skin visibly purified and matte-looking, without drying it out. My skin felt refreshed and revitalized after I washed it off.

This one is all about the GLOW! Perfect for winter time.

It has finely milled apricot seeds which gently exfoliate dull, uneven skin to reveal it’s natural glow. The grainy, cream texture exfoliates skin, without drying it out.

I apply this with a brush as well and I carry with my life as it dries up. I honestly cannot relax when I have a mask on – it feels like a waste of time to just chill waiting for it to dry.

When I washed it off, I tell you, my skin was the happiest it has ever been. The glow that came through just after using it once made it my favorite of the three.

The creamy texture of this one refreshes the skin’s surface and works deep into the pores, leaving the skin visibly detoxified and brightened.

All in all, I really loved all the masks. I am still using them  but I am totally in love with the Glow Mask because of the exfoliating and the natural glow it gives my skin.

The texture of all three is perfect! I like to think that the thicker the mask the better because anything runny will get messy and no-one wants to spend an extra 20 minutes cleaning out the bathroom sink.

The packaging is pretty fancy but simple. A simple 50ml glass container which is easy to store.

The only con I have is the smell of the green mask. It’s really not bad but it’s too strong.

If you haven’t yet, you should give these a try and let me know what you think. If you have tried them already please may you share your experience in the comments below.

Love & Light

    1. I could never purchase any “expensive” ones myself until I can across these. They are worth it too but the clicks chocolate one is still one of my faves though.
